1st Match: Bang Vs SL: Will Bangladesh always remain minnows...?

Will Bangladesh ever come out of the status of minnows? I dont think so. After putting a defendable total on the board with help from Mohd. Ashraful, who made a decent 75, Bangladesh lost comfortably to the Lankans giving them 4 points. Dilshan again proved to be a match winner for the Lankans after a tremendous performance against the Indians in the bilateral series scoring a ton off 122 balls, a little slow according to his standards and put up 148 for the 2nd wicket along with the skipper to take his team home against the minnows. Soon after his fall, Samaraweera took the centre stage and finished it off with more than 5 overs to spare.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh were given a good start by their openers before Kulasekara removed Kayes to break the opening stand. And Bangladesh were soon struggling for 74 for 4, when their star batsmen Ashraful stood up to the occassion and helped reach Bangladesh to a respectable total of 260 for 7. Dilshan was awarded the Man of the Match for his century.
Bangladesh never looked strong enough in their bowling to restrict the Lankans and I can foresee a final between the two giants India and Sri Lanka. But they will face each other twice before taking the centre stage in the finals to take place on 13th of Jan.
