Day 2: Pak Vs Aus: Pak on top even after 9 down...

A good one for the Pakistanis today. 200 run lead with 1 wicket to go; looks like they will wrap up the match and level the series tomorrow only. Well, the day started off well for the visitors with Butt and Farhat adding another 95 today with Farhat falling to Hauritz giving a bat and pad to Haddin. After that Faisal and skipper Yousuf showed some resistance which lasted only for 50 odd runs. Then, the younger brother Umar Akmal stole the show and made a run-a-ball 49 to give some respite to the Pakistanis and took the total to 277 for 5. Then onwards, Bollinger took charge taking Misbah, who failed to impress once again, and the Akmal brothers. With the departure of Kamran, the tailenders Sami and Gul also followed suit and Pakistanis were soon reduced to 331 for 9 at stumps.

Although, Yousuf is not as good a captian as Inzi or Younis Khan was, he is lucky to have players like Sami, Asif, Akmal, who are performing for him at the right time. The chances for Aussies to make a come back now are very less, but they will not show any sympathy in the decider to take place at the Oval. I hope I am not making an early prediction for this match, but I would love to see Aussies losing at the end of the 3rd day. So, lets see then whether the SCG will wake up to the morning of Wednesday or will it be all over tomorrow. ;-)
