Day 1: Pak Vs Aus: Comeback boys made the day for Pakistan...

A good start for Pakistan today courtesy comeback boys Sami and Asif. While Sami ripped apart the top order with just 10 runs on the board for Aus, Asif followed suit and demolished the middle order, which left Aus struggling at 62 for 7. Then some respite came from the fast bowler Johnson and half centurion from MCG, Hauritz, when they piled up 55 for the 8th wicket. But then Asif striked once again and Aus were bowled out for 127 in less than 45 over on a rain affected day and that too after winning the toss and electing to bat.

So, was it Pakistan's disciplined bowling or Australia's sluggish batting which led to the downfall of Aus. Well, its kinda both. It was clearly visible that Pak bowlers such as Sami, Asif et al, if provided with a little bit of help from the pitch, are almost unplayable. It also opened the loop hole in Aus batting that they cant play the swinging ball. It was the swing of Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma two years back; of Dale Steyn last year and of Asif and Sami this year, which troubled the Aussies. They ve to do something to tackle the swing, otherwise they ll start losing more frequently on their homeground.

Anyways, lets not speculate anymore, because its still 4 days to go and I am sure that Aussies are definitely gonna come back hard at the Pakistanis. Lets see whats in store for Pak's batsmen tomorrow.
